Gout
SYMPTOMS may include a sudden crushing, throbbing joint pain a big toe,
sometimes in a knee, wrist, elbow or ankle. Small growths called (tophi) in
the earlobes and other areas may occur. Kidney stone formations may occur.
CAUSES are from a disorder of the metabolism of purines. Uric acid
accumulates in the blood and uric crystals are deposited in the joints.
TREATMENT. Medication will be prescribed.
